Even before law school, Kaitlyn knew she wanted to cultivate a career in employment law. Kaitlyn also built on her HR training and knowledge by gaining an SHRM-CP in January 2023, and she has remained active and involved with the Twin Cities chapter of SHRM.
Prior to starting her law career with FMJ, Kaitlyn served as a legal intern with the National Labor Relations Board. She also had law clerk positions (both in-house and with a civil practice law firm) working in the areas of employment law and workers’ compensation. During her final year of law school, Kaitlyn received a certification from the Minnesota Justice Foundation for her public service throughout school, and she was recognized by the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section for Excellence in Labor Law. Kaitlyn brings her drive and dedication to all of her client service and employment law work here at FMJ.

“I knew many years ago that I wanted to build a career in employment law, and I have worked hard to develop a range of employment law experience and knowledge. I enjoy collaborating with clients and helping them work through HR and Employment Law matters. HR and Employment Law issues will impact most individuals or businesses at some point, and I want to be a part of your team to help plan for and navigate those issues.”
Kaitlyn is originally from Austin, Minnesota (Spamtown, USA), and she loves Minnesota sports, especially cheering for the Gophers and Twins. Kaitlyn also enjoys trying new Twin Cities coffee shops and playing tennis and pickleball.
