FMJ is excited to announce that Kaitlyn Schammel has joined the firm as an associate attorney!
Kaitlyn is working in our HR & Employment Practice Group, where she will advise businesses and individuals on human resource and employment issues. Kaitlyn helps with a variety of matters, including employment procedures and policies, employment training, discrimination and harassment prevention, termination and hiring procedures, employee benefits, investigations, post-employment restrictive covenants, FMLA and other leaves of absence, confidentiality and related restrictions, compliance with employment laws, and more.
Before joining FMJ, Kaitlyn served as a legal intern with the National Labor Relations Board. She also had law clerk positions (both in-house and with a civil practice law firm) working in the areas of employment law and workers’ compensation. Kaitlyn has known for a long time that she wanted to cultivate a career in employment law. She graduated from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a BSB in Human Resources and Industrial Relations and a minor in Business Law. Kaitlyn also built on her HR training and knowledge by gaining an SHRM-CP in January 2023, and she has remained active and involved with the Twin Cities chapter of SHRM.
