She also assists financial institutions and other entities in financing aircraft and perfecting interests with the International Registry and the Federal Aviation Administration. On the corporate aviation side, Julia works with individuals and businesses in a wide variety of aircraft matters, including leasing, purchasing, ownership structuring, and regulatory compliance.
Before joining FMJ, Julia acquired years of experience working as an aviation attorney with law firms in Oklahoma. She also served as an adjunct professor of law at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Julia is active in the community, volunteering and serving in leadership roles for a number of organizations, and she was an All-American tennis player at Gustavus Adolphus College.
I aim to connect with clients to fully understand their needs and reach amicable and beneficial solutions. Clear and open communication, respectful dialogue, flexibility, and creativity are cornerstones of my practice and fundamental in helping my clients reach their goals.
Julia is living a true aviation life. She married a pilot, enjoys a career in aviation law, and loves to travel the world with her husband and two sons. Back home, Julia stays active playing tennis, practicing yoga, and figure skating. She keeps her mind sharp with weekly mahjong games and reading 100 books every year. If not on the court, mat, or ice, Julia can likely be found walking in the woods.
