Molly Amt works in the General Corporate & Business and Manufacturing practice groups at FMJ. Molly is skilled at helping businesses achieve legal compliance while supporting their growth. With extensive experience in corporate, M&A, and nonprofit matters, Molly manages a wide range of projects, from strategic financings and acquisitions to ongoing corporate governance and commercial contracts. She began her career in the San Francisco Bay area, where she worked closely with both public and private technology companies, investment funds and government institutions on the use and commercialization of varied types of technology. She uses this experience to provide valuable insights and solutions for companies across various industries, helping them navigate challenges and opportunities at all stages of growth. Molly enjoys connecting with clients to identify their needs and collaborating with them to attain their goals.
Before starting with FMJ, Molly worked with both commercial and government agency-based law firms in California and in Minnesota. Molly graduated from the University of Minnesota law school, magna cum laude, and attended Duke University for her undergraduate studies. Molly received All-American accolades as a member of the track and field and cross-country teams while at Duke.
Molly prioritizes being involved and invested with organizations that serve the interests of children. This includes leadership positions at her family’s schools, coaching soccer, and representing children in foster care settings through the support of the Children’s Law Center in St. Paul.

Molly enjoys being outside and staying active in each of Minnesota’s four seasons with her family. She stays involved in her family’s athletic teams and schools, and Molly is a lifelong runner and advocate for girls in sports.
