Frankie's Bio

Frankie Weiss is an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions, General Corporate & Business, and Manufacturing Practice Groups at FMJ. Frankie works with business owners, first-time buyers, and growing companies on acquisitions, sales, and other strategic transactions. He represents buyers and sellers in business acquisitions, including Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) deals, and advises closely held businesses on entity formation, corporate governance, and contract matters.

Before joining FMJ, Frankie gained valuable transactional experience as a law clerk for an all-purpose business law firm in Minneapolis, which served as outside general counsel to entrepreneurs, investors, and growing companies. Working closely with these clients gave Frankie first-hand insight into the everyday decisions business owners face and the legal issues that come with them, and it shapes how he counsels clients today. Frankie approaches each matter with a business-minded perspective, careful attention to detail, and a commitment to helping clients reach their goals.

Frankie earned his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he served as Senior Editor for the University of St. Thomas Law Journal and as a certified student attorney in the school’s Bankruptcy Clinic. Before law school, he earned his B.A. in Business Law & Compliance from the University of St. Thomas, and he is proud to be a double Tommie.
