Jamie's Bio

Jamie Briones is a Shareholder in the Litigation practice group at FMJ, and her practice focuses in the areas of commercial and employment litigation. Jamie understands that the core of all effective client relationships is trust, which is earned through hard work and open communication. She believes that the more trust that is built in the attorney-client relationship, the greater the chance for success now and in the future.

Jamie provides clients with candid advice and creative energy to solve the problems that arise while balancing short-term and long-term goals. She served as legal counsel to her family’s business, an experience that taught her the hard work and time it takes to build and maintain a family business. Jamie acknowledges that all businesses, whether large or small, will experience issues at some point. She is ready to listen and utilize her experience to help guide clients to achieve their goals.

Jamie received her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law with a concentration in Organizational Ethics and Compliance. Before FMJ, Jamie served as a law clerk in the Hennepin County District Court to the Honorable Nicole A. Engisch, and she worked as an associate attorney at a small Minneapolis firm.

“The key to success is to be prepared. I believe that the more I know about my client’s goals, the more creative I can be to find an appropriate solution. I am willing to spend as much time as necessary getting to know each detail about a client’s case. That way, I am always ready to take on any issue that comes up in any given point in the case.”

Jamie and her husband enjoy watching their daughters grow and learn new things. Jamie also enjoys golfing, spending time with extended family and friends, and heading to the lake for a relaxing weekend.
