Lindsey's Bio

Lindsey is an HR & Employment Attorney who partners with employers to advise them on all aspects of workforce management, from day-to-day issues to complex risk management. She works with organizations of all sizes, helping them make practical, legally sound decisions that align with their operational and cultural goals.

Lindsey’s practice centers on proactive counseling and compliance. She regularly assists employers with drafting and revising employee handbooks, employment agreements, and other workplace documents, as well as guiding internal investigations, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Lindsey’s approach emphasizes clarity, consistency, and defensibility, helping clients avoid disputes before they arise.

In addition to her advisory work, Lindsey supports employers in responding to employment-related claims and agency charges. She understands that workplace issues can disrupt business operations and works efficiently to develop strategies that minimize risk while preserving workplace culture and productivity.

Before joining FMJ, Lindsey worked at a mid-sized plaintiff’s employment firm in Minneapolis and then moved to an Am Law 100 firm in Portland, Oregon where she represented a diverse array of employers. Most recently, she served as in-house counsel for a major Minnesota-based food company, serving as their employment law attorney. Lindsey also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota Law School where she has taught Law in Practice courses since 2018.

Lindsey values building strong, responsive relationships with her clients. She takes the time to understand each client’s business, workforce, and priorities. This allows her to connect with the people involved, understand their motivations, and deliver tailored, practical advice rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
