FMJ is Excited to Announce that Cortney Buesgens has Joined the Firm as an Attorney!
Cortney Buesgens practices in the Corporate & Business Practice Group at FMJ. She will also be part of our Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate, and Nonprofit & Philanthropic Teams. Cortney focuses her practice on working with business owners to guide them through a wide range of business law matters, including entity selection, organization, contract drafting, and mergers and acquisitions. Cortney also helps individuals and businesses in the purchase, sale, financing, and leasing of real estate.
Cortney graduated summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas School of Law where she was a member of the Nonprofit Organizations Clinic. Before law school, Cortney graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and minor in Business Law from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, receiving summa cum laude with high distinction honors. Prior to joining FMJ, Cortney acquired a wide range of transactional experience at both small and mid-sized business law firms in the Twin Cities.
