# John Ella to Present to MSBA About Non-Competes in Minnesota

The Minnesota State Bar Association invited [John Ella](https://www.fmjlaw.com/professional/v-john-ella/) to be part of a panel discussing Minnesota’s non-compete ban. The discussion will cover strategies for advising clients and protecting their interests, and potential pitfalls to avoid after the ban. John handles a variety of employment law matters, and he has been helping clients find alternatives to non-competes and work through the issues that the ban has created since it became effective in 2023.
