Erin is the Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Manager at FMJ in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency group. With over fourteen years of legal experience in real estate foreclosures, collateral recovery, workouts, commercial litigation and all components of the bankruptcy process, Erin is able to resolve default remedy issues and complete recovery actions for clients. At FMJ Erin has focused on bankruptcy matters as well as Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities foreclosure actions. As Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Manager, Erin handles foreclosure processes for all types of foreclosures from beginning to conclusion in the most efficient and cost-effective ways possible while communicating directly with clients and meeting their needs.
Erin has worked extensively in a supporting role on cases involving representation of unsecured creditors committees, at FMJ and at prior firms. At FMJ, Erin is a part of the team representing the unsecured creditors committee in the bankruptcies of Petters Company, Inc. and its related debtors.
Erin’s extensive experience helps her anticipate clients’ needs and provide efficient, cost-effective service with positive results.
Prior to joining FMJ, Erin worked for many years at a real estate firm in St. Louis Park handling bankruptcy and foreclosure matters.

Erin and her husband, David, are raising their young daughters in the Twin Cities’ western suburbs along with their black lab. Having both grown up in Minnesota, Erin and David, along with their family, enjoy the outdoors and all that Minnesota has to offer. The Buss' enjoy spending as much time as possible as a family and are enthusiastic, yet perpetually disappointed, Minnesota sports fans.
