Peter Carlson practices in the areas of commercial litigation and employment litigation. This includes litigating cases involving discrimination and sexual harassment, claims under FMLA and ERISA, and non-compete matters. He also advises clients in resolving employment disputes outside of litigation.   
 
Peter additionally has experience in litigating cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice claims, commercial disputes, along with helping clients in the aviation industry with litigation and regulatory matters. 
 
Peter is a cum laude graduate of St. John’s University and the University of Minnesota Law School. Prior to joining Fafinski Mark and Johnson, Peter was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Gary Larson and the Honorable Jay M. Quam of Hennepin County District Court. 
 
In 2010, Peter was selected to join the board of Cancer Legal Line, a Minnesota non-profit. Cancer Legal Line’s mission is to alleviate the non-medical stressors faced by cancer patients and their families by educating and providing them with cancer related legal information, resources and referrals.

The Rest of the Story:
Peter lives in the Twin Cities’ southern suburbs with his wife and son.  When he is not playing at the park or in the back yard with his son, he’s out running the area lakes with his little sidekick in the stroller.  Peter is an avid skier and is a former junior alpine skiing instructor at Hyland Hills.  In what little spare time remains, Peter enjoys golfing and fishing.
