Minnesota Lawyer: Small Firms in Mix for Corporate Work

Fafinski Mark & Johnson client Snap Fitness discusses the many advantages to working with smaller law firms such as FMJ in a recent Minnesota Lawyer article.

“What I am looking for is the highest quality in the most cost-effective manner,” said Ali McElroy, general counsel at Snap Fitness, a Twin Cities-based fitness club company.

The smaller firm advantage is offering first class representation, but at a more reasonable rate. This is something many in-house counsel are seeking after the recent recession.

“There is an institutional courage that in-house counsel needs to have in looking at reducing costs,” said Fafinski, head of the commercial services law firm whose practices include real estate, mergers and acquisitions and employee benefits. “Our pitch is ‘Give us one opportunity and see how we perform.’ At the end of the day, I want to make the in-house counsel look great.”
